Thanksgiving.......Now on To Christmas

What a nice break.  It is always wonderful to have D home for a few days.  We seem to keep super busy.
Visits to both Parents for Turkey has been a tradition for years.

D- continues to work on Mom's garage in his spare time.  He spent the week in research for his talk, he spoke in church on Sunday about his ancestors.  It was a great talk and amazing what people can endure.

S-Was so grateful for help getting Christmas lights, the tree and decorations up. It took a couple of days.  Cyber shopping is better than Black Friday.... She is grateful for many things, but especially HOT WATER.

T- Is officially carless. They totaled her car after the wreck and she returned the rental car....Now the job of finding a replacement starts.  Finals next week.  Oh joy.

K- Was on the winning Turkey football team in Ukraine, just missionaries.  We got some Photos....It was great. S is relieved there was no one harmed. We are so grateful for him. He is a shinning example of Obedience and Standing for Something....

N- is working for a "Move It"  CD.  He enjoys school, bowling, basketball, and passing papers Saturday morning.

C-The Chemist, is doing Science Fair and writing her own story. She also talked on Gratitude on Sunday.

Time to Change the Blog background.....finally.

Good Morning Winter... Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Looks like Winter has begun.  I am not used to the cold, yet.  Just glad I don't have to prepare Turkey Dinner.

D-Instigated the first big snowball fight in Liberty on Sunday and it ended with  a bucket and glasses of water being exchanged at home.  He gets worse as he gets older.  Back to Work for a few days..

S- Today is Monday Missionary Marathon Morning for Mom.  She checks emails and cuts, pastes and sends and updates the blog and facebook.  It takes a few hours, but hey, there is very little I can do for K in Ukraine, so hope my efforts here will be good enough. So glad the Primary Program is over, it went well.

T- Driving a white VW bug....Only a rental car until her car gets fixed. I think she kinda likes it.  She was very blessed to only get hit in the left rear panel of her car...no one was hurt. Two more weeks of school, couldn't be happier about that.

K- Doing well, but struggling with the Language... Still has PMA. and looks great!!  Ornaments are coming in the mail for his tree...Yeah!

N- Always wants Dad.... Something I try not to take personal.  He does give me a kiss on the cheek each morning before school.... Not many teens will do that :-)

C is sharing some good Blonde Jokes.  Her piano is sounding very good.  John Schmitt.....look out.  Only 2 days of school this week....Wow.

Sadi--That spoiled dog gets to sleep in her Kennel in the Garage since the cold weather... She is really good about it or I would kick her out..

Veterans Day....2009

So, I was hoping to post some Halloween pictures but our computer is not recognizing the USB to download them.... Sometime I hope. They are demolishing the old School and changing the View on the Horizon, it will be better, I think.

D- is busy testing with UL in promontory.  Seems to be going well.  Cleaning and fixing my mom's garage and house up takes most his free time.  He has made a record number of trips to the DI and Dump this year.

S is worrying about the Primary Program coming up on Nov. 22nd.  We have no children in the Primary now.  She learns a great deal about the Neper mission experience 2nd hand from Missionary Moms and other Elders letters home. It is a puzzle for her.

T finished one 17 page paper.  We know very little of what is happening in her life.  We can get more out of a text than in person conversation.  We don't see her much she communicates with us when she needs something....of course.

K is doing fine in Ukraine.  2nd transfer and he is still companions with the Branch President in Left Bank.  He is great about emailing us and letting us know the happenings, but I am not sure how he can keep track of the questions we ask.  So  S learns from others.

N sang in the Men's choir concert and loves school. He is listening and following directions better.  Job skills class takes him to Kirts (The local Drive in) which is a field trip.  He asks every Friday about the Friday Dance (something they did at Orion Jr.) Is now playing basketball with his Sports group at the New Elementary.

C had a part on the Veterans day program and took Grandpa P. to lunch.  It was great he could come down.  She is growing up....can't figure out how to stop her.  She is now in Young Women's and the only Beehive.

Life is grand.  It was snowing yellow leaves as I drove Nate to school this morning.  They say a storm is on the way......We shall see.

S sewing tink and peter costumes this week.

T diligently studying for school.

K busy missionary. Loving it

N actually rode the bus TO school. That is early for him.

C feeling under the weather but still pluggin' along.

Nice to start the week with an email from K in Ukraine. We were able to send them back and forth in a few minutes time. He sent a photo of his Companion and their apartment. He is doing great seems happy and eating eggs, yogurt, bread and spaghetti. Learned to get filtered water. One bottle at the airport cost $7... Wow.

D got the streaker winterized and cleaned the kitchen cupboards for me. Also worked on speeding up this computer. What a great guy.

S busy keeping track of emails and photos for K on computer. Planning for Primary 2010. Enjoying replays of conference.

Changes are coming everywhere.....

D-Testing with UL at work keeps his stress level too hight. Under the weather too...
S-Was pretty emotional at the end of K last live email from the MTC. Now she has to think 2weeks -2 months in advance for him. Lost her voice... but hopes to get it back soon.
T-Had Strep last week.... doing better. Busy in School and with K . What a pair.

Fall is in the air

Happy Fall y'all

What a nice Labor Day Holiday. We spent a night at the cabin, and then spent the day in Wellsville. I decided why the "hearing loss" is so high in Wellsville.....That Parade and Shambattle definitely keep those selling hearing aides in business. Emailed with K for a while on Tuesday. He sounds great. The city finally stopped the stream flowing down the ditch in front of our house. The tapes from K are fun to listen to. We are waiting for the next one. C and N keep us busy running here and there and are loving school. T on the other hand, is just biding her time and anticipating Spring graduation.

2nd Week of School

Well, things are going faster already. Life gets busy when the kids go back to school.

D made it through the 1/2 Marathon like a champ. He and K were done in under 2 hrs. Work keeps him busy, so busy he doesn't have time to run at lunch.

S is so frustrated with Google/Gmail. I was so excited to talk to K, but unable because the server is messed up. So don't plan on any responses from my email for a while. I have opened a new one on live.com

T will close up the pool this weekend. School is just a task to complete but she won't be driving to SLC as much. She will spend more time at McKay in Ogden.

K is doing great. Only about 3 more weeks in the MTC. Then the adventure of Ukraine will be right there for him. His letters are so positive, he is loving it.

N loves school. Thinks he can go to lunch whenever he is hungry....They obviously are not keeping track of him. He is doing some Life skills/Job skill training at Kirts, the local Drive Inn. I bet he loves that....if they can keep him from the french fries....

C back at gym and very sore....She is doing Valet Parking for he job in 6th grade. Early morning Piano is very difficult for her.

Days are getting shorter, the garden is hard to keep up with. Life is grand. Enjoy the moment.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Wow, kids back in school. What am I to do?

We had a wonderful week at Ed. Week. Great learning and nice to get away. Berries are on...

T held down the FORT here at home with help from K. She did some teaching in Logan and I bet was relieved to see us come home on Friday. She is going to SLC this week for school. I think

K last email was not live, since we were in Provo and the internet was not working. He is doing well...learning the Russian Language and lovin' the life at the MTC. Letter came on Thurs. with Tons of Pictures. He looks awesome. What a great Guy.

N is so excited and becoming more independent and doing things for himself. He got a FAT CATS shirt at my favorite store. New glasses too. We found the old ones after placing the order and paying for the new ones. WHS in the 10th Grade..Wow.

C is 6th grade at NOE. We can see her class from our front porch. Nice new school. She will love it. Great help to N. She went fishing with K and N and had all kinds of fun while D and S were gone. Growing up so fast.

D is back to work... S is going to find something to keep her busy. She finish the quilt, so now what?

Temple dedication was wonderful. Great messages. We have so much to be thankful for.

24th Year Anniversary for D&S

We are headed to Provo, so I am posting today. We did get to see "UP" finally. Great Disney Pixar family film. Raining, soaking wet--5K on Saturday.

D RAN the 5k. He officially committed to run the TOU half marathon with K. So he will keep up the running for a while. We did get to go to lunch with N & C for the last time before school starts. He was the Seed Spitting Contest winner at the Stake Fair on Saturday. Now there's a "Claim to Fame".

S finished sewing the "I Spy Quilt" this week. Now the cutting begins.....Since the block have been around for 5 years now. She walked with N & C for the 5K on Saturday but has been running on the WHS track most days. Excited for Ed. Week.

T fed the pool staff and is closing up the year at North Shore. She did some shopping this week with K and attended Real Soccer last night on the 4th row! She will start traveling to Logan this coming week for some classes, but then will be working close to home at McKay Dee in the NICU. She will be filling in for Mom and Dad this week.......

K was e-mailing us this Tues. but the computer crashed while we were in the process. He got the bag the same day...cookies and all. D & S will be dropping off his phone cards etc. at the front desk while they are in Provo. He seems to be doing great.Got a long letter in the mail and things sound like they are going great.

N is ready to go to "Good Ole' Weber". We laughed really hard when we came home from church to a message on the phone that the bus would pick him up at 6:34.....Uhm.... that would mean he would be up before 6. S thinks she will be taking him up each morning. He earned his Fat Cats Money. Walked the 5K with the dog and much prodding. Got on the dunking machine at the Fair twice. Skating and Tennis on Friday.

C decided to wait for now with the Swim team. Their competitions sound like they are the same time as Gym in the fall. She loved the Dunking Machine and drug the dog along the 5k too....or was it the dog drug her? She has a brand new school to go to this year and gets to walk to and from. That will be much nicer than the traveling she did last year. 6th Grade will be great. She such a great friend to Nate. They will have an eventful week with Mom and Dad gone.

See you next week.

Monday August 10th

Well, keeping up 2 blogs is more work than I thought.

It is already August. Attended the Fair on Saturday, it was actually cool and nice. The animals were fun to see. Tuesday we got to email live with K.... that was fun. Wednesday at the Park and in the river was fun trying to fly kites. It cooled off and got windy on Thursday.

D had his 30 year Reunion at USU in Logan. He had a great time and enjoyed seeing old...friends. Shopping on Friday afternoon did him in. Too many people. He is very busy at work, but gets to take a week and go to Education week with S.

S thinks she is ready for school to start. Primary makes a busy Sunday. Froze at class reunion but is enjoying the cooler days. Exchanged K bag and made cookies to send him in the new one (packaged and sent on Friday).

T getting back into school. Rode in the Helicopter at the fair with K. Does dinner for us on Mondays.

N was somewhat interested in shopping on Friday for some school clothes though he has no concept of staying in the dressing room to change. Doing some swim lessons and piano with a lot of help from C.

C has been swimming with the Swim team in the morning. Not sure if it will last. Loved the Fair and the parrot show. Excited for new school to start.

Warm Weather/Busy week

We had a busy week and weekend. after we got K off to the MTC on Wednesday, the sewer backed up downstairs and we had to have the plumber come drill out the mail line to the road. We spent a day at Bear Lake. The lake is full and the beaches few. We also managed to down 2 Old Ephraim Pizzas, with a lot of help. Elder Black's farewell on Sunday filled the day. We did get in a good Nap at Moms on Sunday before the fireworks at WSU that night.
We have emailed E Parkinson(K) and sent a letter in the regular mail, but have not heard from him. I assume his p-day is today or tomorrow.

D busy back at work.
S took Primary kids to Oquirrh Mountain Temple open House. It was an all day trip......
T working and needs to take better care of herself. Too much stress...
K needs to write home ASAP
N is busy again with computer and movies. Softball practice is warm..
C getting excited for school to start.

The garden is growing and looks like a good year for berries.

What a day. Dropping your son at the curb......

We got K to the MTC. What an experience. I am grateful we did not get to go inside and experience the other side of the MTC. We left home at 10:00 and ate in Provo at a Hawaiian restraunt. It was good. We rode down in (Snowball Express) Mom's Suburban. It was difficult, but K was really ready to begin. Then we drove to Park City to do some shopping. C got some clothes for school. Then we visited with Aunt Afton. We got home about 5 p.m. It is kinda somber. I am still washing from camping and the luncheon after K talk. I took a picture of his room and then proceeded to find the floor and bed to change the sheets and vacuume. D helped me that was hard. So life goes on.

Vacation Over MTC in 2 days

What a week. July 4th we ran/walked the 5K in North Ogden and enjoyed the parade here. Then went to Liberty for Fireworks. We went to Island Park on Monday the 5th and returned on Saturday. K talked on Sunday and we ate lunch at the Sr. Center. We have had a great time.

D is off until Thursday. He enjoyed the camping and was such a big kid. It is nice to have him here.

S is not sure she is ready for Wednesday, but it will come ready or not. Fever Blisters left over from Island Park. So grateful for family... changed and showered twice yesterday.

T back to work. She and K joined us in Island Park for a few days. She survived camping.... She made some great ranch dressing for the lunch and finished sewing her quilt yesterday.

K has so much to do and only a few days. He gave a great talk on Obedience on Sunday. Needs to pack and get the leftovers and clean his room.

N is glad to be home and back on the treadmill and watching too much TV. Wore out the tires on his bike at camp. He did lots of biking around the loop.

C is probably not ready for this week. She is more emotional that way. I hope she is strong.

Feels like Summer!

What a crazy week and weekend. Time is flying by....
We will have someone in the Basement today so the kids will need to turn down the TV.

We took Family Photos this weekend what fun.

D is glad to move on to the next project, the Streaker. The oven is now working. Lighting and Logos will consume his time when he is not doing the basics. Busy this week at work with meetings with Honda. Was given a new Tie made of Airbag material...

S scrambling to get Kenny packed and pack for camping for 7 days and prepare sharing time and a Primary Quarterly Activity. Finished the July 4th pillow. Dentist appointments yesterday. I think the phone issue is solved for now. N wonders where his phone is......uhmmm. Peas lettuce from the garden are delicious. Bargain on Quilt batting in the garage.

T working on a quilt again. Busy at work with the sunshine. Still up too late....

K has taken over the front room floor in effort to get the suitcases packed. Finished work at DB. Going to the Temple with C Black. Did baptisms for the dead last week with N and D.trying to fit in as many last dates as possible.

N doing well with no summer school. Took swimming lessons with C. the last 2 weeks. Found a Tigger that sings and bounces.....oh my..

C swimming and gym and piano. 4-H class on babysitting has consumed her creative side lately. I sense some jealousy with the older kids freedoms....C sewed her own "I spy quilt Blocks"..WTGC

All registered for the 5K on the 4th....Walk, run or be pulled....

Hello Mr. Sun

We are happy to see the sun. Hope it stays here a while. We stood in line for 3 hours for the Disney Christmas Carol Train at the Ogden Train station on Tues. Enjoyed the weekend. Friday was filled with traveling and following the Ragnar Relay to cheer on K and L. Crazy people running day and night. Saturday we walked the 5K route in N. O. to see if we could make it. N took Sadie and she pulled him along. The rest of us made it ok, not great times, but finished. Sunday was a wonderful Father's Day.

D sang in Church with C and enjoyed his last primary Father's day song in Sacrament. Enjoyed visiting with family and wrestling with them on Sunday in Wellsville. Finishing up the details in the apartment. Got some chairs, g's, great cocoa almonds and a running shirt for Father's Day.

S is somewhat relieved that K bought some clothing for Ukraine. She realizes the sooner he leaves the sooner he comes home. He will do a wonderful job and have a great time on the 2 year adventure that awaits him. She finished the Blocks for quilt and helped T make a pillow on Friday. Found her cell phone in the washer and is now using N's. Went to Sam's club and spent too much money. Doesn't like that place.

T working but hardly no one wants to swim in the rain. Made a car pillow(BYU?) on Friday for K. Still staying out too late... the rebel. Wishing for $$ for a Sand Volleyball pit at North Shore, just doesn't know where $14,000 would come from. Excited for M and B to return. Though Mom assures her they will come home just as "weird" as all the other RMs.

K still working and got to work at DB again on Saturday. Beginning the spending cash to get ready for the mission thing. Last minute dates he is trying to fit in....of course the Disney Train was one of them.

N swimming lessons in his own unique style. Still gets up too early and finally got his word girl toy. We hope to now convince him to ride for a BYU pillow like K's.

C swimming and gym and piano. Got her teachers name for next year 6th grade at N. O. Elementary. Great sister and shopping buddy.

GOOD MORNING.....It is not Raining

Such a nice break from the wet. The weekend was full with the Wright Reunion. We are so lucky to have the Lodge to play in. Good food and great times with extended family. Sleeping in the lodge wasn't the best nights sleep for some. Kitchen in the apartment looks nice, we should move down there. FHE was on Ukraine, it was great to hear and see K experiences.

D survived the Weekend and even got part of the garage cleaned on Saturday. He is painting the Logos for the trailer. Rain makes it harder to run. Almost healed from the bike crash.

S worked on the blocks for the quilt for the first of the week. Did some mending while the machine was out. Then just worried about the rain and what to do with the family reunion. It turned out fine...we have a break for a year or two doing that. LOST Cell phone with her brain(calendar) in it......:-(

T has not been as busy with the wet rain, no one wants to swim.... imagine that? Exciting news from USU with a small scholarship. Any free school is better than none. Went to the temple open house.

K taught Sunday school and spoke in church. Did a great job. Only one month left and he is now where near ready. Work is getting old for him. I think he will be glad to get out of here. Also went the the temple open house. Finally got a hair cut!

N excited to go camping. Starts swimming lessons today. He is so good at waking up each morning....too early for mom. Seems to have weathered the short sickness fine. Back to normal.

C did all her blocks for the quilt and took a Babysitting class for 3 afternoons. She is a diligent young lady. Loves to stay up late with the big kids. Started back to gym but S had the wrong time and took her 40 min. late. Ooops.

Sunday, June 7, 2009

Rain Rain GO AWAY

Looks like .....WET

We are getting some serious rain.

D attended the twins baptism and then rode his bike home. Only a 3 hours ride. Still healing the road rash on his back. Made a trip to the dump and the DI....Happy Guy.

S posted today cause she stayed home with N. and knows this week will be crazy getting ready for the Wright Reunion. Tired of sick kids washing bedding and trips to the Laundromat. Three in a month, that is a record. We are usually a health bunch. Cannot find her I spy blocks. Cleaning and getting rid of stuff. Took C shopping cause she needed to Get OUT of the HOUSE.

T burning the candle at both ends again...Some never learn to slow down. Has H here for the weekend. Fishing and outdoor movie before the rain poured down on Saturday night. Baptisms this week too.

K visited DB in Logan, I think he misses working there. Did not like having to work a job he doesn't like on his Birthday. Went to the Temple with K and J. Not in a hurry to get his clothing bought. Needs a haircut Bad. Takes the teasing about dropping him off on the Curb at the MTC pretty well.

N is the latest SICKY. He has had a fever for a couple of days and threw up( he rarely throws up) all over my bed and so...He didn't have to go the Dr. yet. He is doing better just a little coughing left now.

C done with meds for ears. Doing great on Piano and will be happy to start gym next week. Loves the new clothes from the shopping trip. Getting ready to sing with Dad on Fathers day.

We will try to stay dry and plan a reunion inside.

Thursday, June 4, 2009

I am a little slower.

Since this is basically my Journal, I feel guilty if I have not updated this. After several blisters we got new running shoes for C, N and S. We have been walk/running as much as we can in prep for the 5K on July 4th. Cabinets for the Kitchen downstairs come next week. Then we need some renters. The kids will have to turn down the movies...

D took a spill on his Bike on Saturday and is bruised and has road rash. Cracked his helmet, so those of you that think you don't need a helmet. Think again. We are glad it was not worse.
He is very busy at work.

S attended Aunt Mae's funeral on Tues. thinking she was tough and did not need a kleenex... she was wrong. I Grateful for the gospel plan show us the truth. She took C to Dr. with ear infection. It is stressful going to the Dr. even for others. Primary is always chaotic on Sundays. Not sure about this Drop off your missionary at the MTC curbside stuff they have initiated. Having the kids home all day is harder to get things done, but cleaned the carpet runners and slate yesterday.

T working and doing much better with the right antibiotics. Her mouth looks great after seeing the dentist. She spends a lot of time with K. Who is a great kid. She seems to have interesting stories to tell. Her latest trauma was going into the pool for a save and breaking her favorite red glasses.....

K had his 19th Birthday with a Chocolate Peanut Butter cake and we sang to him 3 times. He actually ripped the wrapping paper on his gifts and is excited about his Pixar CD and Imagineering book. I bet it will be read by the weekend. Mom wishes he would start purchasing his Mission clothing......

N busy boy. Up at 6:30 is hard on Mom. Doing Great practicing piano with C. He likes to take the Dog for Walks. He talks about Buffalo Campground and is ready to go. Treadmilling for a "word girl toy". Anything that will get him moving.

C got flowers from a boy on the last day of school right in front of the whole class. Tiff called her a "Man Eater". I told her she was 10 years ahead of her time. She is a great teacher and helps so much with Nate. She went to the Dr. for an ear infection so the pills are being downed around here. She is great to talk to. The baby of the family, but one great kid.

Memorial Day Weekend

What a blast we had at the TOWER in North Ogden. Seems like it isn't where you are or what you do, but rather who you are with.

D had Friday and Monday off. We kept him busy on Friday with N graduating and getting cabinets for the kitchen downstairs. He did get in a bike ride to Brigham and back.

S finish the Dorothy costume and prepared to party. Finished 2 books on the Memorial day ride on Monday. Still trying to keep up with D.

T is sickly, but still pluggin' along. The Dr. says a virus..... I think she needs to slow down a bit. First big day at the pool was great. Cloudy and cool, but alot of fun. She made it to the zoo on Memorial Day.

K is getting ready to work full time at WHS. Only about a month left til he leaves for Ukraine.

N loved Lagoon and the graduation Pizza Party on Friday.

C done with Wizard of Oz and has only 3 days left of School.

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Warm weather means busy.......

D is still hard to keep up with. Busy at work. Running and walking. Moved the Streaker out of storage and fixed the sprinklers S dug up when she tore out the bush in the back. Giving N a haircut.

S getting tired of the "General contractor" work that consumes her time. Paint and carpet looks nice, maybe we should move downstairs? Cabinets are next. The end is near. Battling with the school sytem for N.....is an emotional drain. Dorthy costume is done. Picking up after everyone.

T work....work....work.... Did hair for Sr. Cotillion on Saturday. Made breadsticks on Monday.

K actually cleaned his room...... Wow! Working a WHS and watching TV on Computer. Mom can't wait til school is out. Then he will work more. Hearing stories about Ukraine... Should be packing up....

N gets to go to Lagoon and will have a Pizza party on Friday. Getting a haircut right now.....

C had 1st performance of Wizard of Oz. Tomorrow is "Dorothy".... performance. She needs to clean her room as well...

Wednesday, May 13, 2009

Life Is Busy

D is working in the basement. Quite the electrician, I hate watching him change the plugs out... and tripping the breakers. He is really busy at work and still running.. sometimes twice a day. I cannot keep up with him.

S finished the May Craft with her sisters and extra helpers. Has returned to the Temple twice with K. Cleaning up one mess to just find another. More laundry and dishes and food being consumed with a full house. Stressed about the IEP for N and building a Dorothy Costume for C. Had a wonderful Mothers day. Has a new stereo in her car to listen to Tunes on.

T busy at work doing trainings. Life must be good, she seems happy. Busy cooking and baking which takes the load off others.

K spends too much time in front of the screen. He is only working in Logan at DB on the weekends and is back working at WHS from 3-6. Needs to get his stuffed for the mission ready. His room is a disaster, but the whole house is scrambled.

N is being neglected a bit with the remodel of the apartment. Excited to go to WHS. Getting ready for a Piano recital on Friday.

C is busy rapping up school, finished her State Float. Practicing her lines for the Wizard of Oz and practicing for the recital too.

Monday, May 4, 2009

Wow, will it ever stop raining?

We have had a great week

D is hoping the painters will show and get the apartment done. Going to celebrate another birthday. Has all the carpet out of the apartment. Was the Escort for K on Saturday. Haircut looks great.

S was gone for 3 days to Provo W conference with her sister L. What a great time, met a new friend, visited with Uncle J and Aunt L and G on the way home. Still working on the May wood craft...hurry this Friday. Adjusting to a full house now...all six of us home. Cooking the last of the Mormon Muffins for breakfast.

T done with school and working at the Pool. She took N and C to Toads on Friday night and met her cousin J on her first date. So much fun. She brought so much stuff home and has filled the hallway, her room and many other places.....

K done with School on Friday. Took after his Dad and missed a final. Moved a few baskets of stuff back home from G & G. Takes the longest showers in the family. Went through the Ogden temple on Saturday. Good to have family there in support. Will talk in Church on July 12th.... MTC in 71 Days.

N loved the go carts at toads. Keeps us on our toes. IEP at school on Wednesday to get ready for WHS. He also got a haircut. Wounds slowly healing from bike crash. Has been better about getting on the bus.

C done with gym. Doing well with Piano. Also loved toads. Likes to ask for "tires" in her sleep, silly girl. Doing her report on NC and has a box of travel guides.

Warmer weather, A/C on. Enjoyed hearing the T, K, and C play some violin and Piano yesterday.... They don't play as often as we would like.

D is busy at work but grateful he still has a job. Dedicated to his workout. Celebrated with his Dad's birthday on Saturday. He knows he will have another Birthday soon also.

S preparing for everyone to be back home. Her job (mother) seems to change and require her to stretch and grow, sometimes painfully. She realizes how many mistakes she makes....Wonders if she will ever get it right. Looking forward to Women's Conference this weekend. Preparing May craft project. Visited WHS to check out what they have for Nate there next Year. Loves Best of EFY. I guess I just can't grow up. So glad sharing time is over for a few months.

T has been moving things home for several weeks...Her last final is on Wednesday. Then she will be glad to be back at home to work at the pool. Her room is not big enough to hold all her collections.... She has new curtains in her room.

K is officially Elder Parkinson. He has his last final on Friday and will go through the Temple on Saturday. What a mature young man. He will move home and work in Logan unless another job option becomes available closer to home. Got a letter from his Mission President in Ukraine, with Ukraine stamps and postage.

N crashed on a bike ride with Dad on Monday and has wounds on both elbows... He is the Band aid King. He is becoming more independent. He is picking his own clothes and even brushed his own teeth last week. Like his older brother is a computer junkie. Working on memorizing a Piano song for his recital. Attended Best of EFY with cousins, C, mom, and Grandma.

C is researching North Carolina for a Report in school. She is getting more mail than all of us combined. She will be Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz in her school play. Attended Best of EFY in BC Tabernacle, it is the first time she has seen the insides of that awesome building.

Great weekend, sunshine and yummy food.

C finger is all better that she jammed last week. We went to State(D,S,N and G Smith) with her Friday night for PT and took 3rd in Double Mini and Tramp and 6th on the floor. Qualified for Nationals in Tramp and floor. Didn't get home til Midnight. Good Job C.

N still working(tread milling) for a Cyber chase game. He loves Mutual with D on Wednesdays. Actually brushed his own teeth once last week. Is getting a little more independent and cooperative about things he wants to do. He likes to choose his own clothes more often now. He thinks it is cool to wear other peoples compression pants around the house, lovely sight. Maybe he should buy some.....

K was home to signed his Visa Papers that were returned from the travel Department. How did we miss that? Monday we(S,N,C,K) went to the BC CTR clothing shop and looked for a couple of hours for his mission clothes. He was scheduled to be ordained an Elder, but somehow the Bishop forgot to do it. So we had all the family here anyway, we will try for next week. Hoping he will be able to go to the temple on May 2nd.

T and H were here for the weekend. We didn't see them much, they were off playing with friends. But did stay long enough to make a couple of batches of brownies for us to eat and clean her room. T taught a RS Lesson and bet she did an awesome job.

S planted some starts but the dog promptly ate them right out of the garden....Argggh. S is still tending some Herb starts, wondering if a green thumb is really cheaper than just buying mature plants later in the year. Varnishing the cabinet downstairs. Got some funny looks for saying "Dang" in Sharing time....

D worked hard on the yard all day Saturday and put together his new BBQ grill. Mowed the lawn got the Basketball standard back in working order. He made sure everyone's taxes were in on time, what a great guy.

He will become an Elder on Sunday the 19th and go through the Temple on May 2nd after finals are over. With much bickering and only a day of practicing K and T played my favorite song: "I know that my Redeemer lives" together in their ward.

N did great on his talk, and loves the Spring Break from school. He has all his homework done.. thanks to D. Dressed in Belle or Alice costume at G and gave us all a good laugh.
